Maya optimized for P4! Now Dual P4 Xeon 1.7GHz as fast as Dual AthlonMP 1.2GHz!

Ripped from Ace's:

"Alias|Wavefront has used the special Intel Compiler optimized for the Pentium 4 to compile Maya 4. According to the first data we received, the Dual Xeon 1.7 GHz should be able to render about 44 images per hour, while the dual Athlon MP should reach 43.5 images per hour. "

I have just finished testing with Maya 4. The Dual Xeon 1.7 GHz achieved 44.4 (Maya 3: 31.3) rendered images per hour, and the Dual Athlon MP performed exactly as fast : 44.4 (Maya: 33.6) images per hour.
