We will know when we have hit-bottom when 24-hour business news channels are relegated to 10 minute sound bites during the 11 o'clock news and the personalities that were created in the bubble go back to writing the scripts instead of looking pretty in front of teleprompters all day. When Joe Q Public is sick and tired of hearing about stocks and vows to never "play" the stock market again - then it is time to consider investing for the long haul as the next generation reads about Bubblemania but has no personal experience as a reference point - which is probably another 5 years away - at least.
