Early in April of this year, OIL was trading around $18/share. I thought it was a good buy there, and shopped around for a block.

The best a trader could offer me on a block was at $19.25. I decided that the trader was trying to steal from me and I waited for a block to come available closer to where the market was trading.

The next morning Merrill raised their rating from a neutral to a buy. The next morning they announced a large find in Equatorial Guniea.

A week ago today shareholders received $45 cash in exchange for their stock.

Of course, I wasn't a shareholder because I was trying to save a buck.

John, Back in 1998, SRV was "dying" to get coverage from the big guys.

Anyone beat that?

I sold lots of shares of INTC in '86 @ $18 at the time Intel reported a loss. 6 splits ago.

Sold more in '90 to build a house. 5 splits ago.

I'd be up there with Paul if it weren't for those 2 moves.

John, "I can only blame myself"

Life is full of shoulda's. I got some sage advice years ago to load up on your winners. Once in awhile an Intel comes along and in Jerry lingo that means a home run. When the market turns around forget about being stuck at third base.
