"Old Man Bush" got fooled into being a "moderate". He let George Mitchell talk him into being a socialist on taxes. He lost his base, because it was obvious that he had learned nothing working eight years for Ronaldus Maximus. Bush the Younger seems to have understood this. The liberals are trying to squirm out from under the Clinton recession, but they don't have the guts to try to claim they are tax-cutters.

So the Democrats go forward, for better or worse, as the party that robs the productive. If they have to run 2002 in the atmosphere of recession, they will suffer accordingly...
