Poet has taken exception to my post 23925 and believes I misrepresented her. I was attempting in that post to do two things: first, to accurately respond to the concern brees raised, and second, to try to prevent by tossing a quick bucket of water on a fuse another 1,000 post series of who said what dozens or hundreds of posts ago. However, I have assured Poet that if I was incorrect, I would correct my misstatements and apologize for my error. Which is what, IMO, responsible posters do when they have misrepresented what others post. I have asked Poet to identify for me the posts which show that I misrepesented her position so I can see where I went wrong in what I thought I knew. Stay tuned for more updates.

This is a correction and revision of post 23925. Should be substituted for that post, which should be disregarded, and would be edited if I were within the time frame to do so. In my opinion, this has been dealt with. I do not claim to perfection of memory or understanding, but the following is my present recollection and understanding. My recollection is that Poet has admitted that she is unable to cite any post where jlallen has expressed anything she would term homophobia. My recollection is that she has further said that she made her comment based on the fact that when comments which she considered homophobic were made on the RWET, he didn't immediately spring in and disavow them. (I seem to recall that he gave a reference to one, but it turned out that jla was away the day that was posted.) Anyhow, it is my interpretation of what I read that she holds him responsible for running a thread on which other people post what she considers to be homophobic posts, and which he doesn't actively disavow. So in my opinion that's been covered. Whether or not you consider that enough justification for calling jla homophobic, I would personally request that we PLEASE let's not get into ANOTHER one of these wars. I am concerned that we will drive away whatever remaining interesting posters might still be hanging around hoping things will get back to being what I would consider to be more generally interesting here.
