We have a series of greusome cat killings in our neighborhood . In spite of a large reward they have continued. When will it turn to people killing or raping? Still, that is not different from the series of dog killings that happened when I was a kid (and were a prelude to burgleries where they didn't want the dogs aroung).

cat killings in your neighborhood huh??hmmmmm

In my neighborhood we are having a series of gruesome baby killings. In spite of eternal ramifications they have continued. Of course they are a prelude to selfish moneywhores going to the bank with their butchery money.

It is a shame that many have given them selves over to such god worship much as did some earlier people as they worshipped Molech by tossing their children into the fire for sacrifices. Pride...arrogance...lust...money.....

Solution? God.

4 major oil firms settle MTBE cleanup suit
S.F. judge presses 4 others to reach similar agreements

William Carlsen,SF Chronicle Staff Writer Tuesday, August 21, 2001

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Four of the nation's largest oil companies agreed in court yesterday to clean up MTBE contamination in California caused by leaking gasoline storage tanks or face contempt of court penalties.

The settlement, which will cover approximately 700 contaminated sites owned by Chevron, Shell, Texaco and Unocal since 1994, was signed in San Francisco Superior Court and could result in an outlay of millions of dollars in company cleanup costs.

"For the first time, this settlement puts teeth into orders to clean up contaminated sites around the state," said Richard Drury, staff attorney for Communities for a Better Environment, the Oakland group that brought the suit against the oil companies.

"Without this lawsuit," he said, "we would be stuck with decades of toxic contamination and ultimately the bill to clean it up, while the oil companies laughed all the way to the bank."

Superior Court Judge Stuart Pollak, who approved the settlement yesterday, praised it as a "sensible, very imaginative solution to the problem."

But four oil companies -- ARCO, Exxon, Mobil and Tosco -- declined to settle the suit, and Pollak strongly urged them to meet with the court mediator to reach a similar agreement.
