TWY,

<My guess is that Palomino will ultimately scale 15% to 20% higher than the 1.4GHz Tbird. >

The problem is Thunderbird already seems to be scaling 15%-20% higher than Thunderbird at 1.4 GHz (based on a few overclocker reports I have come across where people seem to be getting over 1.8G with a slight Vcc jackup - and taking a 10% guardband into account).

<We'll see soon enough.>

Assuming AMD limits Thunderbird to 1.4GHz and Palomino kicks in at 1.5GHz, how would we know?

Also, what is your take on why AMD has still not introduced Palomino? Note that it is now about a year after it was first expected and about 4 months after the introduction of mobile parts based on the same core.
