That is exactly how our attorney explained it also. It also prevents someone from paying their buds in full and shafting others with no payment. I can see the point but it was quite maddening when you are already writing a chunk off to find that you need to write a check so you can write more off. We were going to try the normal course of business deal since the stuff they had paid for in the 90 days previous had also been ordered and received during that 90 days but as you say it's not worth the hassle. Live and learn:) As an anecdote on our economy previous to last March in the last 8 years I don't think I have written off 2k as bad debt. In the last 1 1/2 I am looking at 10x that which may be put in that column. Some of these companies have been in business for many years. Not good.
