"Prudential Securities upgraded its rating on Amazon.com, Inc. to "hold" from "sell" and increased the target price to $10 from $9. Analyst Mark Rowen said that the e-tailer's deal with electronics retailer Circuit City (NYSE: CC - news) was a signal that Amazon "is finally addressing concerns regarding its negative-contribution-margin consumer electronics business." Mr. Rowan also felt that the deal mitigates the downside risk for the Amazon stock. Amazon.com also announced that it would start selling Seattle Mariners products in its Japanese store."
