Bill:
I think too many splits put control of stock prices in hands of the certain funds or speculators and the price became disconnected to company performance. My guess- they hold the stock and sell covered calls or puts.
Last month a move from 23 to 28, this month a move from 28 to 23. Beautifull profits, and almost guaranteed
since tech stocks go down when reporting earnings and we were not looking at blow-away earnings this quarter
Dell has a bottom- if Dell cant "make it" in this environment then no computer company can.
Everyone is talking about a recovery, well this is the recovery. Taxes, utilities, cars, and mortgages are costing more and high-paid jobs are disappearing.
We will all be shopping at the cheap stores -Target or K-Mart or Walmart. So the big names who planned to expand are in trouble.
So I dont expect Dell to move much soon, and the November report will not look good either in comparison to last year. I will place my bets for later on, in the 03,04 Leaps.

Bill. md unthruthful? so the ilk on the street are now defining what is truthful and untruthful? on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most truthful, that would put money managers about 4 and md about 7? your comment must mean you're rare, rating close to 10?

so everyone who rates a "4F" in truthfulness knows Dell is going lower; they want it down into the belly of 17 again Bill? maybe they'll be happy with themselves. let me guess, it's being done though only to bring it back when it suits them

give the truthfulness a rest. congratulations on predicting the state of the pc economy though
