i have tried to address this on my commodities thread. there are numerous ways to play them--all with different risk profiles. there are safer ways to play commodities and there are riskier ways. it's up to you. i know you are interested in gold because of your business, stick with that and you will do just fine. i believe there are better commodity opportunities than gold, but it will do better than holding stocks, bonds, or cash.
