Hmmmmmmm......... I sort of doubt it, but...... quite honestly, I'm only watching the top four or so bids and asks.

That would be a simple and clean explanation.

Wouldn't it make a level II "depth" chart look sort of funny? I'll have to look at what the default is for my chart, size (number of shares) showing, or the depth of MMs at at each price.

Must admit, I just don't look at prices that are a long way from the current action. And, remember, blocks larger than 10K shares don't need to be shown.

(is there any reasonable explanation for that??)

I doubt it. But..... "I obviously don't know enough about the mechanics of trading to ramble on like this"!
