Since you brought up the stupidity of the comment about Siebel's market share, I'll pour salt in the author's wound.

With a commanding market share of 70 percent, the San Mateo, Calif., company has emerged as the 1,000-pound gorilla in what is today a $6.4 billion market

70% of $6.4 billion is $4.5 billion. If Siebel owns 70% of the market, why is its trailing revenue "only" $2.2 billion?
