Milo Re <<Most people I know are waiting for nForce before buying another system.>>

Most people I know, probably think nForce is a multiple of G force. :)

If AMD has a faster product, they should let it out to keep ASP's from falling. I don't think AMD has any faster product. But I also think AMD's product are plenty fast enough and AMD's problem has more to do with flash than CPU.

Ted, most here don't feel happy unless AMD has faster speeds then INTC. Faster performance isn't good enough.

Considering how the whole economy is in the crapper. It's nice to see someone who agrees with my point about not releasing new products right now.

Milo, and one other point, margins are so soft, AMD and Intel are nearly giving away the chips. Recently, I bought 256 mgs of RAM for $50 retail from the local screwdriver shop. If I remember correctly, the price was around $150 two years ago. The slowdown in PC sales has made PC related chips so cheap, they've become blue light specials. ;~))

Even after the slowdown ends, I don't think margins will be anywhere near where they were before.
