CDMA2000 must still be approved for the IMT2000 spectrum

From all that I have read, it is already approved for the new spectrum. Not the old, GSM spectrum, but the new, UMTS spectrum

Any opinion on what's involved in changing the law here?

Per Irwin on the April CC, it does not take any change in the law. What it will take is for the SPs to re-file for the type of system they will use, changing from UMTS to cdma2000.

If I have any of this wrong, someone please correct me.
