OT/vt. Outstanding! I never got to meet the Rev.

His guitar style was so different than most of the other bluesmen of his time. Like a lot of his stuff. I used to perform his arrangement of the United States March. Friend of mine had his Sampson & Deliah down pat. What a virtuoso piece that one is!

Speaking of "characters"?

Must have been 15 yrs ago that I met B.B. King at this small truck stop in southern Indiana.

Was driving a diesel at that time. Pulled up to the diesel pump at this truck stop and there was his tour bus on the other side of the island!! Came up with a couple of good one liners during the conversation and he laughed like hell rocking back on his feet the same way he does sometimes when he's playing one of those great solos. Dang the guy can't be more than 5'6". No wonder the guitar looks so big on him.<lol>

You know what would really be a hoot? Having been close to or actually having walked down some of the same roads, can't help but wonder if our musical paths haven't crossed before...
