From 8/22 Merrill report, I got 2.70/share in cash [230mm] with a 12-15mm current burn rate. Report said CPST biz value was 'couple bucks a share' which I read as $2/share after cash and tax-loss carryforwards @ 7.25. I added today at 5.25, which based on that values biz @ $.00.
The transition between the silly view that every burger joint and 7-11 in Ca is going to buy a microturbine and the reality of distributed power that will come to pass over 3-5 yeas with a bunch of niche applications [like waste gas generating] is proving to be a bumpy road. I never bought the 'microturbine in every pot' view or the nutty valuations that came from it, but the longer view looks not unreasonable.
