Rose,

Rice pasta is hard to like. I have tried it and tried it again just to make sure. It is not pleasant. I tastes just like rice, but it tends to be very starchy in texture and like plain rice bland. It doesn't take to sauces well either. I don't know about rice pasta. I have tried and love Nasoya brand pasta. Its made from the same dough as egg rolls and wontons. I am not sure what kind of flour is in it but if its allowed for your type give it a try. The trick in cooking it though is lots of water in a very large pot. It comes in all kinds of flavors too, like spinach and garlic and herb, as well as plain.
