The QQQ's trade somewhat like futures. Players are betting where the NASDAQ is going. Supply and demand comes into play, something you don't have in a cash chart like COMPX, NDX, SPX, etc..

QQQ's are more tech heavy than the COMPX. You need to check the NDX to compare apples to apples.

NDX is up over 2%

EDIT- I see MM already told you part of this. Since tech is stronger today than non-tech you have the noticeable difference in the NDX and COMPX
