Forget everything Gingrich did or said EXCEPT the Contract With America. It succeeded BRILIANTLY. Americans LOVED IT. It got Republicans elected.

And most important of all, IT KEPT REPUBLICANS HONEST!!!!

A cynic would think that last is why the Republican Party abandoned this proven winning strategy.

Any time the Republicans come up with a good idea, the democrats try to steal it number 1 and if that doesn't work, they'll turn it around so it is stealing from social security or the children...

The democrats are getting so predictable, it's almost too easy.
