No, of course not. But, lack of lower prices and complete coverage does.

I understand your original point, however, I do think that more bandwidth, more powerful/versatile phones and more useful applications will excite people. And, don't forget, it's not just the "phone," it's the notebook with high-speed access or PDA-type unit that allows true mobile applications such as interactive maps and directions, person-to-person video, real-time stock charting and trading, convenient anywhere, spur of the moment shopping, and the like.

My point is that we are at the very, very beginning of the wireless revolution. We've got a long way to go, and there will be exciting reasons to upgrade your mobile units, whatever they may be.
