It may not be right, but that is the way the world is. In a fair world, there would be one currency, one Adam Smith kind of specialization based on geographical economic advantage, that means really one world wide minimum wage too doesn't it, I am all for that, but I am not for trusting Communist Chinese Slave Masters since it is in their personal advantage to keep their 12 cents an hour "Free" Slave Trade Zone WTO/IMF PNTR slaves as slaves and US too if they can keep the money that Greenspan & Company has shifted to them wholesale in this 2nd Greenspan induced earnings recession and destruction of $10 Trillion Dollars of Global financial market liquidity that kept the world economy growing and modernizing to improve the standard of living of those poor you mention. Eventually, this will be corrected too. Then a balance of payments and currency devaluations will occur, perhaps triggered by a real estate crash....yes really, and then those poor people will be able to afford the things you mention.....but maybe the US will not be able to do so anymore..... Water is not abundant in the US anymore either, that is, fresh drinking water.
