You've made substantive contributions to three discussions we've had here on the BR, to the best of my recollection. I'd still put that in the category of three exceptions proving the rule, but a few more and I'm prepared to re-evaluate the rule. Particularly since I'm not having to work so hard to get them any more. <g>

Duly noted. But to borrow a phrase from someone whose opinion I generally respect, it "continues to annoy me to no end" to have the myth that I make no substantive contributions to discussions perpetuated. The facts are that neither the tenor of a post nor its alleged brevity (which I was taught was a virtue)determine whether it is "substantive". And just who decides what is substantive? Moreover the context of such posts needs to be examined as well as the post which is being responded to. So, in other words, if I'm responding to an idiotic "fact free" post from a moron, its a little unrealistic to expect Tolystoy's "War and Peace" in reply. If you need an example, look at any post by rich4eagle or American Spirit for a reference. And I do have a tendency to get whizzed off by pigheadeness as well. A pet peeve of mine.....
