Intel spends about $6 Billion per quarter, and has $9 Billion on hand. AMD spends about $0.9 Billion per quarter and has $1.1 Billion on hand. The matchup is much, much, less uneven than it appears at first glance. Intel has 4.5 months of cash available while AMD has 3.5 months of cash available.

Dan, on what is Intel spending $6 billion? Is it an expense[s] independent of the operating expenses on the balance sheet? How can they show a profit and still be burning their cash-on-hand?
