I have no problem with that at all.

You accepted well established principles of human behavior as determined by society over many years of development as your moral code in that example. Perfectly fine with me.

But if you had just said "well, I was taught by society that stealing was wrong, and up to that point I believed that, but it was an inconvenient principle to believe in just then so I tossed it away and went with its opposite for my own convenience and forget what society or generations of people say I owe the orchard owner, then I would criticize you as a relativist OP and a danger to society.
