Gold Canyon releases Cordero project results

Tuesday Aug 21 2001News Release
Mr. Michael Levinson reports
Gold Canyon Resources has released the results for the first 115 panel and channel samples collected as part of its phase I work program on its Cordero gallium project. These samples verify and significantly expand the area of high-grade gallium mineralization in the Discovery zone of the "B Shaft" pit. The sampling also expands known high-grade gallium mineralization northerly and north-easterly to the "G" and "D" pit areas. The samples collected in transects across major zones of mineralization show the following averages for the above areas.
Sampling in both the B and G pits were limited by available exposures. In both areas, mineralization extended beyond accessible sampling limits. Limited trenching by hand in these areas yielded values up to 127 grams of gallium per metric tonne. Sampling of both the hanging and footwall zones (the zones above and below the mineralization) of the major mineralized zones indicate that large areas of low grade mineralization ranging from 20 to 40 grams per metric tonne form envelopes surrounding the higher grade gallium mineralization. This is very promising for the future of the project as these envelopes will minimize potential dilution during mining and potentially add significantly to the overall resource.
Mapping and sampling to date indicates the gallium mineralization occurs as part of a large mineralized strata conformable "blanket" replacement deposit cut by high-angle "feeder" structures. The entire "blanket has been gently warped and folded, with many minor "antiforms and sin-forms" visible throughout. The highest grade mineralization tends to occur near structural intersections and along the fractures associated with the incipient folding. The overall attitude of the system indicates that it is shallowest just south of the "B Shaft" pit and probably forms subcrop in the vicinity of what is known as the "Harper" pit. The system appears to dip gently to the north at two to 15 degrees.
The unweighted average of all 115 samples collected and reported here is 64 grams gallium per metric tonne including those samples with no detectable gallium. All samples were analyzed by Inspectorate Rocky Mountain Laboratory in Reno, Nev. All results are reported in parts per million, which are equivalent to grams per metric tonne. Additional samples are pending and will be reported as received. For those unfamiliar with Gold Canyon, additional information can be found on the company's Web site: gcu-vse.com.

... talked to Russel myself because I was skeptical of what
I read on this board and the news releases. He told me the
process now does exist and it has been demoed. In fact it
had to be demoed in order to get $$$ to get it to a higher
production level. Those people with the $$$ would not
finance a con, they are not stupid.

Do you know if "it" is the same one being used over at USPS?

tedly
Sounds like your getting desperate.
Ad hominim attacks are always the last resort
of a failing position and yours are getting a bit strident
old man.
Its a shame, because you do have a respectable position
in your doubts about the desert sands. Actually I'm secretly
pleased by your attacks because it dampens any residual
doubts that I have had.
Tell me old boy, what are you going to do should GPGI
prove successful along with other companies extracting
and selling pt? Perhaps you will admit your error,
or will you quietly disappear?
It is apparent that you have such an intense vested interest
in the failure of this great adventure that.....

ted, on the one hand you worry about permits, on the other,
you say that the process will be spread all over the west.
The permits will not be a problem. The issue is only how
soon or late will it be till they are in. With all the recent
stock action it looks like there is financing afoot.
Do you think money would come in if there is
a permit problem? Permits ae the small potatoes
of this deal. Regarding the spread of production
in desert sands, not only in the west, but throughout
the world, I have always, and repeatedly stated,
that this will happen. Check my past posts.
I am a bit ahead of you. You worry about ability
to extract the metals. I worry about the effect
that proliferation will have on GPGI and USPS.
It will take smart management to avoid being wiped out
down the line. At the least, there is 12 -18 months
before an effect would be felt, at best smart management
will position itself to avoid problems.
From the viewpoint of the industrial world
( and especially the underdeveloped world)
a reduction in the price of pgms will produce
enormous benefits. It is profoundly to be wished
that this new method of metal extraction works.

OT: Blut Wow!! GPGI that powerful? I know its powerful
and will shake up the pgm industry to its roots.
But a world economic crisis caused by GPGI!!
Please explain. By the way, in case you are not aware,
we are already on the verge of a world economic crisis
but companies like GPGI, USPS and OTMN will do
very well because.....

Circular No. 3, August, 1980
by Ken A. Phillips, Chief Engineer

Platinum (in reality the entire platinum group of elements)
has been and continues to be the subject.....

The platinum group of metals comprises platinum, palladium,
rhodium, iridium, osmium, and ruthenium, of which platinum
is the most important. Of these metals, osmium is generally
alloyed with iridium. The platinum group metals occur chiefly
as natural alloys of various proportions and to a much lesser
extent as sulfides and arsenides. All of these metals are rare
and expensive. They possess individual properties that make
them uniquely attractive for certain uses in highly developed
technology and.....

Platinum and palladium are the most abundant
and most widely used of the group; the other.....
