Actually the D.A. would probably plea bargain a "Disturbing the Peace" charge or something. You'd probably take it. The courts don't have time to settle this kind of issue. They can't even keep up with the felony one stuff. The system is busted bad.

And so, as in your own case, when people are charged and convicted of a crime, few expect to do the time.
