Some pro-Microsoft group has a phone-bank, calling up good citizens: "Sir, are you for or against the microsoft case?" "Against" "If we sent you a letter supporting your view, would you be interested in sending it to your attorney general after carefully reviewing it to ensure that it represents your point of view?" "Why, I am a busy guy, that seems like a big time saver. Sure, send it to me." Letter arrives. Unfortunately, the organization addressed it as if its from the deceased Al American Sr., instead of his right honorable son, Al American Jr. Al Jr. strikes off the Sr., replaces it with Jr., reviews the rest of the letter, and sends it in to get his voice heard. Indeed, the fact that Al Jr. spotted the error in the name, its proof positive that the letter was carefully reviewed by Al Jr. In addition to MSFT, I love America. They have here a notion of something called freedom of speech. Perhaps the fuming Attorney Generals have atleast a faint recollection of this class they must have taken, although its poor competition for the class on how to get rich quickly without doing a darn thing...
