I'm not saying that is what is happening. I am saying that if you control enough stock to move markets and want to exit, then it would make sense to try to engineer an orderly exit. Such an exit would involve numerous analyst upgrades and unsubstantiated waffle statements about investors being unable to invoid inflection points etc.

It's not really a conspiracy, just a better way of doing things, from a fund manager's point of view.
