I believe Corning has stated that it will sell more fiber miles this year than last, mainly due to metro and China. That was my point.

Point well taken.

It's pretty obvious to me that Corning is the better relative value. This is not speaking to whether Corning alone is a good value of not. I was simply looking at relative valuations.

I agree. Relative valuation is the key here.

Yeah, while JDSU's slide continued. It seems the market has recognized the valuation disparity and is trying to resolve it.

We possibly could be close to a bottom on GLW.

But based on what I know, real growth in fiber optics sector will not kick in until we reach end of next year. So most likely the entire fiber optics sector could be in a trading range till then. This is just my opinion.
