Hi DavesM, Thanks for the further research into the differences in electrical consumption in Caliifornia year over year. Your current (no pun intended) figure of 4,000 Mw is one I've independently confirmed. Added to that, all of the new generation that has recently come on line, in spite of the incessant and disingenuous spin about "no new generation in a decade" notwithstanding, has pretty much put to rest the notion that there will be any rolling blackouts this summer. The crisis is ended, at least as far as I'm concerned. Now all that is left is to mop up the mess. Cheerio, Ray
