Good post BC. I think there is much to be learned from Elliott Wave other than trying to fit the market to a count.

Good post, Bobcor. It's remarkable to me to watch the markets keep threatening to totally breakdown. . . then threatening to break up. . .then lather rinse repeat. The VIX implies we ain't seen nothing yet. . . but it's been implying that for a long time. The Naz has a terrible close. . . and Cisco announces that they see "stabilization" thus feeding hope. The question is, will people now focus on valuation instead of hope? Or can that alone turn the market. . . and for how long?

Totally fascinating to me, and I'm glad to be going along on this ride with all of you who are far smarter/savvier than I about how this all works. Oh, and you too, Allan, cuz I like your poetry. <g>

lots more shorts are sitting on fat profits

it's in short supply around most of the usual parties that orchestrate short squeezes

I think that the first requirement is all that is really needed for up. That and some after the fact reason.

But squeezes require liquidity from somewhere,

In a similar vein, M3 growth is now dead. It has a 6 week growth rate of 0%. The beast needs some food or it will die.

AMG reported very modest equity fund inflows this week.

Borcor - Thanks for this insight. It helped to confirm some of the value I have been deriving from EW. I had been questioning the validity of my views for awhile.

This post made it into my bag of trading lessons and articles that I keep with my trading journal. I had to give it a title so I chose "Elliott Wave: Beyond the Counts". I hope that adequately conveys your intended message.

bobcor.......

Hi there!

I am generating a new Elliot page for my website and was wondering if you would have any interest in providing wave counts. If so, let me know @ feedback:
