refreshingly honest post. All of us, both long and short, are or have been guilty of similar sins. Your post is a good reminder of one of the behaviors that separate the good traders from the great ones.

"10% gains or stop losses, all in the hands of
the channel gods.

It turned out all stop losses.

You aren't alone with stop loss discipline. You should never being willing to lose more than you plan to gain.

Whenever you feel yourself "hoping" with a position, that should be your "stop". I have no problem with a stop "loss", it's letting those profits turn to a loss that kills me.
