Again I ask you - 200 years from now will there or will there not be abundant energy?

There are tremendous amounts of energy. Capturing it and converting it to good use is the challenge. We should strive to significantly increase our energy use and with it our standard of living.

You just can't ignore the realities of the existing infrastructure. If you leave everything to the market we would live in a world of black skies and instability. It takes energy to make energy. We should make the best use of the existing situation. The more we waste the longer it will take to increase our standard of living.
