MM, remember that I was writing about the dollars which come in from overseas, not as a result of sales within the USA. It started off about the way in which the USA is sucking capital in from around the world and the way intellectual property and other exports, including US$, are making the USA the financial hub of the world. I had been explaining how the USA could go on buying without exporting material goods. I made up that it can go on for 20 years.

Yes, Q! is a minnow compared with General Electric, GM etc. Yes, Q! revenue is now less than $4bn. I was giving examples, not trying to do accurate arithmetic to quantify the value of the exports of intellectual property though that would be interesting if somebody would care to add up the USA intellectual property exports and other exports such as US$ which enable the USA to levitate.
