"on the one minute charts
How many minutes into the second roll
do you usually wait to place your short order?"

Usually about 5 min. I like to see a lower low on the
5 min. chart for confirmation.
If the point is to catch the bulk of a decent move,
it's best to be following the indicators and not jump
in too soon, which can get you whipsawed.
And it's safer to "one with the market" instead of
anticipating a reversal that may or may not occur.

If the NAS continues to slowly climb as it's doing,
I'd be more inclined to wait for that second rollover.
The first rollover is sometimes merely a slingshot to
another leg up.
