Our unfortunate ignorance of how the Great Depression happened led an entire nation to embrace participation in the Second World War. They were lucky, since that war had to be fought. An economic catastrophe is being brewed up by our current-day ignorance, the one that dictates that an excessive part of the surplus should be fictionally designated as "Social Security investment" and not refunded to the productive sector. The liberals embrace this dangerous myth wholeheartedly, as they would embrace even Hitler or Stalin if they saw them as a route back to power-which is all they crave. But "moderate" Republicans are also to blame for not contesting this economic poison. World War Two was only a John Wayne movie-where only the bit-part actors got killed-AFTER the real thing was over. At the time it was taking place, it was a grinding, relentless suffering for everyone alive. The disaster that our current economic ignorance ultimately leads to cannot be known, but it also cannot be anything to look forward to. Inflation destroys the legitimacy of government but, can be ended quickly by simply cutting taxes and spending and biting the bullet until the economy adjusts. A DEFLATION, which is what the contemporary ignorance is causing, hangs on like a disease, and damages a society for the long term...
