Why buy now when you can wait 3-6 months and buy at 4? Sure, you'll miss some ups and some downs in the meantime, but why not sleep easy?

That being said, optics are certainly due for a bounce, but I don't think today is it (although it may be the beginnings).

The so-called challenging year spanned from June of last year to May of this year. For the most part of that time, people were in denial. The truth starting hitting home only early this year. The real challenging years are the current one and the next.

And yes, I think sales can easily drop 50% to 70% because of the immense capacity overhang.

As long as people buy the kind of stories that you came up with, this will at least command the present valuations. Once they get tired and leave the show, we can see how far below the bottom really is, for the stock.

And btw, I was not talking about a "normal" economic climate. I was referring to a "normal" stock-market environment.
