I'm starving. I never did tell you about our first official dinner without children. I meant well. But people kept calling. All the other moms wanted to see if I had made it through, and to tell me how they had fared. And then I was going to look up a really sexy recipe. I assume somewhere on line there are sexy recipes. But I started reading posts, which as you know is the Kiss-Kiss of Death for anything constructive ever getting accomplished in a day. So I thought well, I have some nice baking potatoes, I'll throw those in the oven and then run to the store for something... only the the doorbell rang and it was another friend and she stayed until Dan walked in, and said, all happy and hopeful, "Something smells good!" And I had to tell him it was a very overdone baked potato. And that was all. And it really was.
