I'm surprised at your view that the moderator should not have challenged the false attribution, assuming the usual talking head format we see on TV panel type shows with guests from each party, and not a formal debate in which the moderator is essentially a time-keeper, I must say. If I had been, for example, Chris Matthews, I would certainly have challenged a false attribution immediately. I'm sure CM would have, too. All of them would, I believe, unless there is one too dumb to have noticed it. Your No to questions 1 and 3 are what I expected. Of course.
