Eric: I was talking about the buy-and-hold strategy that Addi has done with this stock. To my knowledge, he has never sold LSI in the past 6 years. If anything, he has added more shares along the way. So, if he had X number of shares 6 years ago, those shares have zero rate of return over the last 6 years. And that too, during the greatest of bull-markets! That was the point I was making.

Btw, this is the first time I have heard anybody mention dividend-paying stocks on this thread! Just as some people find religion when they fall on hard times, I am sure some people are going to discover dividends in the coming decade. Only then will people realize that investors like you and I were not dufuses, but simply ahead of our time! :-)

I will look into the stocks you suggested -- GLW and ATI. I suppose they pay dividends! The former is a broken tech stock, so I will have to be very wary of it.
