Peter,
Agree 100%, gold has been getting little attention the last few years. It's been so pathetic (ggg) that all it gets are a few sneers now and then in the press and a decided negative spin. Noticed a lot of instances where it hasn't even gotten a mention in the commodities column in the WSJ or IBD over the last three years, esp. this year.

Boring doesn't sell papers!

This is why I thought the History Channel gold series would be a Bottom Indicator and not a Top. It indicates a change from total apathy to fledgling interest and that is what gold needs, some attention.

I'd prefer a slow and steady stepping type of gold rally and then it would be nice if it were to cap with a parabolic spike.

Give me a gold rally with good reach and depth, then give me a sell (or lighten as the case may be) indicator, I don't ask for much!

LOL

BTW
I tend to flip a Silver Eagle 2000 (my "lucky" coin) sometimes when I'm out like today shopping. It gets folks attention and a lot of them ask about it and admit they didn't even know the mint still makes silver "dollars".
A lot of the younger ones, teens and early twenties, don't even know what it is!! That never ceases to amaze me along with the fact that they seem to instinctively know the difference in the ring of a real silver coin when I bounce this one off a counter top or hard surface. Just my way of showing the flag, probably that one silver dollar has done more for PM advertising than the World Gold Council's entire (stupid) budget.

One may not want to try this, based on your local crime statistics, unless you have a Desert Eagle to pair up with your Silver Eagle, LOL!

Best Regards,

Roebear
