I am laughing out loud at the vision of us all trying to stagger away on our little scrawny legs after days like this. I read your post on the Other Thread, and am so impressed with N. You are very lucky. I, menopausal but still vibrant and really not at all hormonal or irritable wonder that I am, have managed to concoct a thus far impressive meal, although I should never speak too soon as things often go into the oven and emerge completely altered- I believe that my kitchen may share boundaries with another dimension. A culinary tesseract. We are having a spinach salad with raspberries and kiwi and almonds with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing, and chicken breasts baked in a cream sauce served over angel hair pasta. We are even having French bread. I astound myself. And as I chop, I am reading Feynman's What Do you Care What Other People Think? It smells so good I may have to eat it before Dan gets home.
