Producing goods for profit is VERY good. Seizing a monopoly and deliberately gouging America because of sudden political power and ability not to be policed is just plain corruption. And Bush-Cheney are directly responsible. Don't even try to defend the energy gougings of June 2000 - June 2001 led by james Baker and Enron with Bush-Cheney's full support. And realize that it all stopped when Jeffords switched parties almost to the day. No coincidence. I'd also have you know the first of the culprits El Paso NG is now under investigation by the state of California with incriminating evidence already in the hands of the presecutors for conspiring to monopolize and gouge Calif's NG market. El Paso is very close to B-C. And Bush-Cheney have both illgally refused to hand over records of their energy plannings to congress although the GOP demanded the same of Clinton on Hilary's health crusade and they were handed over. Obviously they have a lot to hide, maybe enough to get them impeached, or at least to force Cheney to retire for "health reasons", and certainly enough to expose the culprits and put a stop to this criminal energy policy of theirs which threatens the global environment more than anything in our lifetimes. That's air and water your children breathe and drink, forests and wildlands which are irreplaceable. This is bigger that the S+L debacle and no one knew what hit us until after it had happened. And the "shortages" were all 100% phony. Otherwise why would we have record gluts now? California has so much electricity now they can't give it away. In fct as soon as Jeffords left the GOP we suddenly had more than enough energy. Remember the lies of Cheney and energy cronies and just follow the money to Houston. Then remember who paid for GW in the first place and created him as a national figure. Don't be in denial. This is not an honest buck. It is not even capitalism. This is outright theft on a grand scale which contributes mightily to our current economic problems and the disappearance of our surplus. That and tax cuts primarily to the rich who didn't even need it or in many cases want it. In fact the energy gougings equal three times the entire tax cut this year so in effect Bush-Cheney's energy cronies stolen your tax cut for the next three years in less than a year, and so far got away with it. And you think Gary Condit has morality problems. How many milllions of people does this put into hardship? Think. And don't listen to their PR spin cover-up. It's all BS. Ask youself for instnce why Cheney hasn't made a public appearance since the beginning of the summer. They know what they did and they're covering up big-time. And watch out that tyhey don;'t pass this criminal energy bill of Bush's which gives 33 billion more to Big Energy at the expense of our environment. I don't care if you're a loyal Republican, fight it. Many Republicans already are.
