Hi ep,

Sorry to hear about your DSL woes. I spend a fair bit of time on the Last Mile and new Frank Coluccio threads here at SI and we cover the DSL issue quite extensively. A typical view is that the US-ILECs intend to kill off DSL just like they did ISDN in the 80's. I wouldn't put it past the boys in the corner offices to actually be contributing to some of the media coverage of "DSL Hell". It's a great way to postpone the future, creating FUD among the Joe Six Pack crowd. At any rate, the future appears to be on "hold".

Re: Give it a few months and this (AGA snafu) will come out on the rumour mill, or someone will sue and there will be discovery.

I'm not so sure. Lots of these guys on the trading desks have a vested interest in allowing shenanigans, even if they lose from time to time. If it weren't for the headfakes, the NG futures markets would be about as exciting as watching Aunt Minnie knitting a sweater.

R.

I seldom subscribe to the more paranoid versions of market-rigging accusations, but that AGA figure and its revision is odoriferous. In particular, foreknowledge of the revision would be extremely profitable.
