Smith's lawyer is bringing some sort of suit against Condit and lawyers. The affidavit has turned out to be a two-edged sword. By distancing himself from this (it was lawyer to lawyer, not his doing) Condit seems weirdly to be saying he didn't expect her to sign it. Why? Obviously because they did have a "relationship" of the close kind. Either Condit is in deeper or one of his lawyers is joining him.
