Hi Joel, I am thinking ... (a) Buffet may or may not have said what was attributed to him, but if he had, he did so in private and thus will of course deny any public leak of same; but, much more importantly (b) Even if Buffet had not hinted at his belief of the coming 8 lean years, the fact that many people, including Business Week, believes Buffet said so is in itself instructive to what folks may be privately thinking but too terrified to whisper, are seeing but too frightened to scream out loud. Time will tell, even if Buffet is unwilling. Chugs, Jay
