I own Halliburton stock too. Plus Chevron and Exxon.
Does that mean I'm responsible for Bush-Cheney's energy policies? I think if you check the record Barbara Boxer has been one of the strongest proponents of cleaner energy, less pollution and stricter environmental protection not to mention corrupt soft money influences. This story is the same as the "Oxy Al" stories. Pure deflection tactics. Bush-Cheney owe their entire fortunes to Big Oil and literally work for them it seems to our detriment, but a democrat who owns an oil stock is evil and corrupt or hypocritical. What a load. Just because a petroleum stock is in the family portfolio the GOP hitmen like to make it sound like there's something corrupt there. In fact diversified portfolios should have some energy stocks in them as a hedge if nothing else. And one reason I own energy stocks is because I know Bush-Cheney are going to do everything they can to enrich these companies and gouge the consumers. So I might as well get some of my money back.
