With respect, this is an utterly ridiculous statement. He made this statement only when it became clear that he had no alternative. His remarks were not an act of leadership; they were an act of desperation.


Really?! Did anyone ever tell you, you are legend in your own mind? Unfortunately, its only in your head.

The truth is is that in this country, some one is innocent until proven guilty but that concept seems to elude you when that person is a dem. or a liberal. For Gebhardt or anyone else in the public spotlight, to jump to conclusions after the first bit of news is out, does not deserve to be in public office. Besides, there are Reps. today who still think Nixon was a hero and Reagan a saint. Frankly, they don't have a clue.

Get a grip!!
