Now you see I think grackle is a better word for what scrapple really is. Or something else yucky. Grack- gunk you scrape out of cracks plus "le"- so grackle, something icky. And let us not get all juvenile about cracks, ok? I know the word "crack" can be a bit...risky. But we're all adults here. Or at least we are all making a good job of pretending we are.

Grackle is a bird, a lot like a black bird, and the males have a huge fan-like tale that they use like a rudder. They have a unique call and are a nuisance in big numbers in trees.
